Meet your guide by Ganymede’s Fountain, in front of the Slovak National Theatre, to begin your exploration of Bratislava’s Old Town. Walk the cobbled streets while learning stories and historical details you won’t find in guidebooks.
See landmarks such as the Man at Work statue, the Main Square with the Old Town Hall, Primate’s Palace, Michael’s Gate, and the Corso street lined with aristocratic palaces. Continue to St. Martin’s Cathedral, the former coronation church of Hungarian kings, with an opportunity to look inside.
Climb the Castle Stairs to Bratislava Castle, enjoying views of three European countries, the inner courtyard, and its Baroque garden. On your return to the Old Town, take a different route passing St. Nicolas Church, the city’s fortifications, Jewish Street, and a lively promenade featuring figures from Hans Christian Andersen’s stories.
