Description
You will be picked up from your centrally-located hotel in Bratislava. If you stay outside the city center, the meeting point is in front of the main entrance to the Park Inn Danube Hotel. The tour begins with a brief introduction before exploring Hviezdoslavovo Square. You will see the Opera House and Reduta Building, pass the 'Man at Work' and Schoner Naci statues, and arrive at Bratislava's Main Square.
At the Roland Fountain, you will hear legends about the knight Roland and learn about the coronation festivities of Hungarian kings held in Bratislava. Near the Old Town Hall, you can take a photo with a Napoleonic soldier statue and visit the Franciscan Church, Bratislava’s oldest sacred building where the Knights of the Golden Spur were knighted.
From Franciscan Square, the tour continues to Primate's Palace, known for its historical significance as the signing place of the Pressburg peace treaty between the Austro-Hungarian Empire and Napoleon's France.
