Meet your guide in front of the Park Inn Danube Hotel at Rybne námestie 1 for a brief introduction. Begin with a historical overview of Bratislava, one of Europe’s youngest capitals. Walk past the Old Town Hall where you can photograph a Napoleonic soldier, then stroll through Primate’s Square to Franciscan Square.

See Primate’s Palace, Michael’s Gate, and the former Hungarian Parliament Palace. The walking portion ends at St. Martin’s Cathedral, where 19 Austro-Hungarian monarchs were crowned.

Continue by car to the Presidential Palace in the Palisady District, an example of functionalist architecture. View Bratislava Castle, the Blue Church, Freedom Square, the upside-down pyramid-shaped Slovak Radio building, and the Slovak Government offices while learning their history.
