Description
Slovakia, particularly the Bratislava region and southern Slovakia, has a winemaking tradition dating back to Roman times. Vineyards cover the hillsides of the Small Carpathian Mountains around Bratislava. The Small Carpathian Wine Road starts in Bratislava's Rača district and ends in Trnava, known as Slovakia's 'Little Rome,' about 50 km from the capital.
