Description

Begin the tour at Červený Kameň Castle in the Small Carpathians, near Častá. This Renaissance castle features extensive underground cellars, historical interiors, and aristocratic artifacts such as original furnishings, hunting trophies, and armor. Stroll the quiet courtyards and castle park to immerse yourself in noble history.

Next, visit Beckov Castle, a dramatic ruin perched on a cliff above the village of Beckov. This 12th-century fortress later became a noble residence of the Stibor family. Seasonal events and exhibitions are hosted here. Note that from November to April, Beckov Castle is replaced by a visit to Smolenice Castle due to the off-season.

Continue to Trenčín Castle, one of Slovakia’s largest fortresses, overlooking the town of Trenčín. The castle complex includes courtyards, a museum, a Gothic chapel, and the medieval Matúš Tower, once home to the noble Matúš Čák.

After exploring stone castles, travel to the village of Čičmany, famous for its wooden houses adorned with traditional white geometric motifs. These designs historically offered protection and now symbolize Slovak folk heritage. Walking through Čičmany’s quiet streets and museums reveals traditional costumes and craftsmanship.

Visit the Slovak Bethlehem in Rajecká Lesná, Europe’s largest movable wooden nativity scene. Spanning over eight meters and featuring around 300 hand-carved figures, many in motion, it portrays the Nativity story alongside elements of Slovak life and culture.

End the day at Bratislava Castle, situated on a hill with views over the Danube River, the old town, and on clear days, the Austrian Alps. The castle offers excellent photo opportunities and city panoramas.

Guests receive a small surprise gift at the end of the tour as a keepsake.
