Description
Leave the city behind and head south for a full-day immersion into the majestic High Tatras. This tour is carefully designed to show you the diverse beauty of the Polish-Slovak borderland, from rural folklore to high-altitude landscapes.
Begin with a stop at the Łapszanka Pass, widely considered the best viewpoint in the region, offering an unobstructed, panoramic view of the entire Belianske Tatras. Then, cross into Slovakia to visit Osturňa, a secluded village that feels frozen in time, famous for its unique painted wooden houses. Continue through the picturesque village of Ždiar, known for its vibrant highlander traditions.
Ascend to the heart of the forest in Bachledova Dolina. Experience the Treetop Walk, a wooden path that takes you 24 meters above the ground, right into the canopy of the forest. The highlight is the 32-meter-high spiral observation tower, offering a 360-degree view of the Pieniny Mountains and the Tatra peaks.
In the afternoon, explore Tatranská Lomnica, a prestigious mountain hub located at the foot of the massive Lomnický Štít. Finally, reach the 'jewel of the Tatras' – Štrbské Pleso. Situated at 1,346 meters above sea level, this stunning glacial lake is surrounded by jagged peaks. Enjoy a peaceful walk around the water, breathe in the purest alpine air, and admire the reflection of the mountains before your return journey to Kraków.
