Description
Depart from Bratislava and travel across Slovakia on a full-day guided tour visiting four of the country's most remarkable destinations. Begin in the traditional village of Čičmany, where preserved wooden houses decorated with white geometric patterns represent one of Slovakia's best-known examples of folk architecture. Walk through the village with your guide, learn about local customs, traditional construction techniques, and rural life, while enjoying time to photograph the historic streets and unique buildings.
Continue to Bojnice and discover the exterior of Bojnice Castle during a guided walk through the castle grounds, surrounding park, and gardens. Learn about the castle's development through the centuries, its distinctive appearance, and the families who shaped its history while enjoying views of its towers, walls, and landscaped surroundings. Admission to the castle interior is optional and not included, allowing those who wish to visit inside during available free time.
After free time for lunch, continue north to Orava Castle, dramatically positioned on a rocky cliff above the Orava River. Explore the accessible outdoor areas with your guide, walk between viewpoints overlooking the valley, and hear stories about the fortress, its strategic importance, and its place in Slovak history. Admission to the castle interior is optional and not included.
The final destination is Štrbské Pleso in the High Tatras National Park. Walk around the glacial lake surrounded by forests and mountain peaks, enjoy fresh mountain air, take photographs, or simply relax beside the water before meeting your guide for the return journey.
Throughout the day, travel comfortably in a small group while your guide shares information about the regions, landscapes, traditions, and history encountered along the route. Guided sightseeing takes place in publicly accessible outdoor areas, including village streets, castle grounds, parks, gardens, viewpoints, and lakeside paths. The itinerary combines cultural heritage, historic landmarks, and mountain scenery in one carefully planned day, offering plenty of opportunities to explore each destination, appreciate Slovakia's diverse landscapes, and enjoy memorable views before returning to Bratislava.
