Description
Start your day with a train ride from Žilina to Bratislava, where your guide will meet you. Afterwards, transfer to Vratna for a walking tour of Janosik Gorge. Continue south into Mala Fatra National Park to explore Janosik's Lower Gorge, passing beneath Rozsutec Mountain on a 2-3 hour walk.
Next, visit Terchova, the birthplace of Juraj Janosik, Slovakia's national hero and the namesake of the gorge.
In the afternoon, transfer to Orava Castle, perched on a rock above the Orava River. Explore the castle interiors and grounds, known for its role in the 1922 film Nosferatu. Return to the train station afterward for your journey back.
