Start your day at Kreuzenstein Castle, exploring its medieval architecture and scenic surroundings. Note that interior tours are available from April 1 to October 31; outside views only during winter.
Next, descend into Seegrotte to experience a boat tour on the world’s largest underground lake. Tours operate Tuesday to Sunday.
Visit Liechtenstein Castle in the Vienna Woods, open on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from October to March, and additionally on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday between April and September (closed Wednesdays). The castle offers historical insights and views of the surrounding forest.
Spend the afternoon at Franzensburg Castle and Laxenburg Gardens. Inside access is available from Easter to October 31, while winter months permit outside viewing and walks in the park. Between November 15 and January 12, the park hosts Illumina, Austria’s largest garden of lights featuring water, laser, and light shows along a 3 km illuminated path.
Conclude with an optional dinner at Marchfelderhof Restaurant, offering traditional Austrian cuisine in an eclectic setting. Dining is not included and can be skipped or replaced with drinks only.
