As you stroll through the cobbled streets of this once free royal town, your guide will share many fascinating details along the way so be prepared for a plenty of surprises! Admire the Main Square with its Old Town Hall and Maximilian's Fountain, and say hello to Bratislava’s famous street art statues, such as the Man at Work, Schone Naci, and the Napoleonic Soldier. Continue to the Primate’s Palace, once the archbishop's residence, with its grand halls and precious tapestries. Next, explore St. Michael’s Gate and the Corsi, lined with noble palaces of aristocrats. This street leads to the majestic St. Martin’s Cathedral, the former coronation church of Hungarian kings. Be sure to take a peek inside! Then, enjoy another short stop to taste a local specialty whose tradition dates back to the 16th century. It will sweeten your day, at least for a while. Next, visit the historic Salvator Pharmacy, a true hidden gem. To conclude your tour, arrive at a picturesque, tree-lined promenade where you will encounter famous characters from Hans Christian Andersen's timeless stories. During the Advent season, soak in the magical atmosphere of the Christmas markets and enjoy the beautifully illuminated city.
