Climatic Spa Nový Smokovec

The Climatic Spa Nový Smokovec belongs to the most famous health resorts in Slovakia and is situated in the heart of the National Park of Tatras 1,018 m (3,340 ft) above sea level. The spa lies above the layer of powdery and smoke zone and so there is cleaner air without bacteria and allergens. The location of spa right in the touristic centre of the city of High Tatras provides excellent conditions for touristic and sport activities.

The spa belongs to the oldest and best known in central Europe and lies in the foothills below the Slavkovský štít (peak). In the Swiss classification of climatical therapeutic spas, the spa is rated at stimulation level 2, with ionising influence. The low air pressure resulting from the mountain location, the yearly average of over 1,800 hours of sunlight, the clean and dust-free air saturated with ozone and fragrant evergreen scent, moderate humidity and moderate average temperature, all combine to create an exceptional convalescent.

Balneal cure is provided in accordance with the indication list for the balneal cure, Act No. 611/2007 Coll., Annex No. 6 and in compliance with the Provision of the Ministry of Health, Slovak Republic, No. 164. According to the Act, spa Nový Smokovec provides an institutional balneal care for patients with following diseases (bellow).

Doctor's consultation by arriving and departure (if staying longer then 7 days), individual healthy plan with 3 procedures per day (except of Sundays), useful medicaments and material.

Doctors usually recommend a stay for 21 days, but you will identify the length yourself .
