Guests come to the spa Sliač with the aim to know and try the traditional spa treatment, which is based on the use of natural healing sources, thermal healing mineral springs, natural spring gas with 99.7% natural carbon dioxide content, which is rare and unique in the world. Individual approach to guests by professional team of expert spa doctors and medical staff, accommodation of high quality in Spa Hotel Palace and last but not least – excellent climatic conditions – this is tradition and present time.
Mineral springs are used for preparation of mineral baths, drinking cure and inhalations. Natural thermal gas is administered by dry gas medical procedures and by subcutaneous gas injection. We provide wide spectrum of medical procedures (more than 50 medical procedures), which are both related to tradition and most modern practices.
The local mineral springs were mentioned as early as 1244. Therapeutic activities started in 1657. In recent past this spa was among the most sought after in the Kingdom of Hungary. Sliač owes its present appearance to the 1930's.
The local mineral springs contain hydrocarbonate, calcium-sulphuric hypotonic water with increased content of silicic acid.
Today the spa of Sliač is equipped with modern therapeutic facilities for patients with heart diseases, vascular or civilization diseases and those of locomotion apparatuses. Success of therapy is in use of the best performing spa spring (kúpeľný prameň). Its water contains high portion of CO2 and the water temperature is 33.3ºC (91.9ºF).
