Manor House Jasenica
Slovakia
... the initiative of the Szúnyogh family, is the oldest building in the village.
The manor house was completed in 1618 in the Renaissance style. It gained Baroque features in the 18th century, while further changes to the building's design followed in the 19th and the 20th century. Then, the manor house gradually went derelict for many years. It was not until 2004 and 2005 that major reconstruction work, funded from EU funds, was carried out on the building. Nowadays, the manor house is a two-storey building with barrel vaults on the ground floor and beam ceiling on the first floor. The building's facade has some Baroque features.
After a recent splendid reconstruction it offers a stylish accommodation and unconventional conference rooms.
