Penati Golf Resort

This 36-hole 'must play' golf resort opened its gates on 2 August 2012. The grand opening of the first 18-hole Nicklaus Design Legend Course and the entire resort itself was on 2 August 2012. Construction on the second 18-hole course - the Heritage Course - started this March with completion slated for September and opening set for summer of 2013.

The Nicklaus Design Legend Course, with its exceptional expanse set amidst the abundant natural beauty of the Záhorie region bears the signature of the world's leading design firm, Nicklaus Design, founded by golf legend Jack Nicklaus. With his brilliant performances - a record eighteen Major championship titles - and as the only six-time winner of the Masters, Jack Nicklaus has gone down in history as one of the greatest golfers ever.

Construction on the Heritage Course, designed by the British architect Jonathan Davison, began in March of this year. In tandem with the world-famous shaper Mick McShane, lead shaper of courses the likes of Kingsbarnes and The Castle Course in the cradle of golf - St. Andrews - Jonathan has begun shaping the holes on the second 18-hole course. The Heritage Course will be a more natural course in honour of traditional golf course design in the British Isles. The length, difficulty and panoramas will set it apart from the Nicklaus Design Legend Course, but the new course will be its equal. More grandeur, no out of bounds areas.

Because of its location and size, Penati Golf Resort will be an inimitable project in Slovakia. With the total of 20 million euros investment it aims to be ranked one of the 'must play' golf resorts of Europe. Players can enjoy their game in the magnificent surroundings of the Little Carpathians near the town of Senica, amidst fragrant pine forests and sparkling white sand dunes, from early spring through late autumn. The biggest international tournaments can be organised at the golf course, which is spacious enough to accommodate thousands of free moving spectators.

The golf resort is complemented by sizeable lakes with swimming facilities, surrounding forests entwined with cycling and cross-country trails, grassy tennis courts and a playground - so that all family members, including the non-golfers, can enjoy active leisure time the year round.
