You will meet with the local producer at a honey shop located directly in the Bratislava city center, just a few steps from St. Michael’s Gate. All the honey and mead products of the shop are from the small family owned beekeeping from region of Nitra what is thanks to weather conditions ideal area for bees. The local producer will guide you thru brief honey tasting. You will taste two sorts of high class Slovakian honey. After the honey tasting, you will also taste two samples of Slovakian peculiarity mead (alcoholic beverage about 10-14% of alcohol). Mead is an alcoholic beverage, which is very popular in Slovakia. The Slovaks drinks it in both summer and winter. In summer cold to 10-15° and in winter heated to 60-65°. The honey and mead tasting includes also a Honey Souvenir Pack, which includes a bottle of local handmade honey with Bratislava’s label, a bottle of mead also with stylish Bratislava’s label in addition to delicious honey biscuits.
