Bear Watching Slovakia
Bear watching Slovakia offers guided Tours to see bears in their natural environment in High Tatras accompanied by a local wildlife expert.
It was built in the second half of the 14th century on the site of an older church from the 13th century. In 1395 the still existing Gothic chapel of St. Michael was added to it. Baroque adaptations were subsequently made in the years between 1742-1772.
Its massive basilica with three naves and tower at 87 m is the tallest in Slovakia. The Gothic portal on the southern side of the church is one of the most beautiful in region Spiš. The interior of the church has plenty of valuable works of the old masters. The most precious of them is the group of the Calvary made in the workshop of Master Pavol of Levoča at the time around 1520 and the board paintings by Master Martin painted in 1490.
