Manor House Soboti?te
Slovakia
It was rebuilt from the original castle and acquired its present appearance after the Rococo-Classicist reconstruction in the second third of the 18th century.
The manor house contains Múzeum of Samuel Jurkovič with exhibition from history of the co-operative movement in Slovakia. Samuel Jurkovič founded Gazdovský spolok, the self-relying crediting co-operative, which was incidentally the second of its kind on the European continent (it followed only three months after the first co-operative was established in Rochdale in England). The Museum also contains and exhibits collections of the Haban pottery, folk costumes and old tools.
